What do you want to do for a living?
"Something that I enjoy and
pays the bills. I don't aim for extreme wealth. I will probably be a lab
assistant and maybe run my own research at the time. I also would like to make
some money out of music. Right now I play in the streets, which actually has a
steady income if you understand the circumstances you are working in. Finding a
permanent part time job in entertainment is the next goal for now."
Where do you study music?
"I do not study music. I have paused my classical guitar studies in
order to focus in physics and my degree, but I ended up dividing my time 60-40
music-university. I should continue for my guitar degree at some point
though."
What instruments do you play?
"I am fluent with guitar and
bass. I also have a Ukulele, a banjo, a mandolin, a trumpet, a melodica, an
Irish flute and a baglamadaki (greek traditional 6 string instrument), all of
which I am able to play but not good at. I love experimenting with all kinds of
instruments that happen to be available to me. Traditional instruments of
Greece is the area I've explored most lately."
What age do you consider someone old?
"Its not a matter of age, its a
matter of character. You can be 25 an old, or 70 and young. Its all about how
you perceive life and relations that show your real age."
What is the most magical thing you have seen?
What is the most magical thing you have seen?
A night in february, at the municipal building in Heraclion, occupied during a protest, I was on the roof, starting at the square in front of me, which was empty at the time. People were talking, playing music and singing on the floor beneath me. Suddenly someone grabbed the mic and started singing a traditional Cretan song, acapella, witha scrappy, aged voice, and it was echoing around the empty square from the speakers. At the same exact second it started raining. This was one of the most beautiful and magical things I've seen in my life, and I was the only one to witness it.
